« Humanity from sculptor Marc Petit (born 1961) constantly polls the metamorphoses body. His recent works question Always the silence of being, that her nakedness we guess under the guise, the mystery flush and overwhelms the procession that stray has started here more than thirty years. His forward to grasp the secret life, his power investigative make him regain gesture waste plaster, kneads the clay, wax up grab the right attitude, a voltage unison of fate. A sculpture that probe our relationship with time and the passing of millennia. Accomplished sculptor, his mastery is to the service of form and spirit. This means that the story has no control in this odyssey human. The carnal vibration relies on alchemical power of fire during melting in bronze. His artistic language is based on observation of the human body and that exposes, sometimes in its reality obscene. Its scaly characters, cage chest concave, bloodless faces, eyes fixed, eroded members but calmed after existential struggles, marked weight test are pending innocence found. Whatever the dimensions, his works express a kindness. Among the exhibits, include bronzes inspired by the zodiac signs. An inter-symbolic and realistic interpretation of the month associated with celestial astrological cycle. Every bronze is the focus of attention at the time of bronze casting, followed by the steps of patina which multiplies variations using expressive lead, iron oxides and copper. »
